Job Description Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. May require a Bachalor s degree in a related area and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Job Title: Systems Change Coordinator Job Description: The Systems Change Coordinator is responsible for following a defined process to apply code and data changes to the Test, Validation, and Production environments for a very large enterprise CRM-SFE (Customer Relationship Management - Sales Force Excellence) system for the PPD (Pharmaceutical Products Division). Education and Skills: College degree in Information Systems, related fields, or equivalent work experience is required. Previous experience as a software developer or tester is highly desirable. Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise system is a plus. Experience with Configuration Management and code management is preferred. Soft Skills: The Systems Change Coordinator must have a good, positive customer service manner; uncanny teamwork skills; and great attention to detail (both written and verbal). S/he must be a quick learner, creative thinker, highly motivated, self-starter, organized, and able to balance incoming tasks with current assignments. The Systems Change Coordinator must also follow the defined process and not deviate from that process, regardless of outside pressures to “cut” the process. This person will be expected to show an interpersonal manner that will cultivate harmonious relationships within a diverse group. S/he must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicating effectively with developers, project managers, and QA testers is essential. The ability to identify gaps in the change control process and making suggestions for improvement is also expected. Technical Experience: - MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and Visio - Oracle / Relational Databases - PVCS Version Manager and/or MKS Integrity - Understanding of standard programming concepts, procedures and practices Other Desirable Skills or Experience: - Software Development Lifecycles and Methodologies - Siebel or SAP Implementations - Understanding of UNIX - ETL tools and technologies (e.g. Informatica)
