Job Description Test embedded firmware for a variety of DOCSIS-, PacketCable-, and CableHome-based voice and gateway broadband modem products. Develop and execute complex requirements-based test plans, duplicate and report bugs, assist debug, and track and validate bug fixes. Independently troubleshoot and configure product, PCs, servers, routers, Ethernet, HFC cable, and DSL environments for voice and data traffic. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of Internet, Ethernet and VoIP protocols (FTP, TFTP, TCP/IP). Familiarity with SIP, H.323, PacketCable, UMA, and SNMP. SUN, PC, MAC and Linux platform experience. Experience with DHCP, NTP, TFTP, FTP, and VoIP provisioning servers and call agents, voice quality measurement tools; gateways, routers, firewalls and switches. Capability to configure and create network traffic using IXIA or Smartbits network equipment. Familiarity with Windows-based productivity tools (Word, Excel, Project). Document and present test procedures and results for peer review. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.Education Bachelor s Degree
